I began my yoga practice in 2000, initially as a form of exercise. However, I quickly discovered yoga’s many benefits, particularly its ability to quiet my mind and promote relaxation.
Over the years, I've explored numerous styles, including Hatha, Iyengar, Astanga, Dynamic Flow, Sivananda, and Bhakti. In 2009, I started teacher training with Triyoga to deepen my understanding under the guidance of Anna Ashby and Joey Miles. After gaining accreditation with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2011, I began teaching in 2013.
The Hatha Yoga I teach emphasises posture alignment and exploring one’s personal physical edge. This approach helps students focus on their bodies, allowing the mind to relax and release daily stress. I teach both men and women at all levels.
Traditionally, yoga was taught on a one-to-one basis, with the guru tailoring the practice to each student’s unique needs. Following this tradition, I teach private classes and small groups (up to 6 students) to provide individual attention and build a trust-based teacher-student relationship.
I fell in love with India during my first visit in 2005, travelling through the north for five weeks and returning two years later to explore the south. I’ve since visited Mysore and Goa multiple times, practising various yoga styles, primarily Astanga Yoga.
